Humility and gratitude at the presentation of the 8th Integration Award in Apolda

Tears of joy, gratitude and the memory of the most important funtion of an active integration work accompanied the ceremony yesterday afternoon in the Mehrgenerationenhaus in Apolda. For the award of the now 8th Integratkonpreises the district had invited with its partners - the city of Apolda, the Förderkreis Integration and the Partnership for Democracy in Weimar. District Councilor Chrristiane Schmidt Rose honored the former mayor of Eckolstadt, Günther Schillkamp, ​​in the Individual category.
Previously, mayor Dirk Schütze emphasized in his laudatory speech the long-term commitment of the local politician for the integration of locally subjugated refugees, such as the founding of a bicycle workshop.
In the category club the siblings Mariam and Mohammad from Afganistan were able to receive another award. In 2016, they launched the Sprach- und Begegnungscafé for learning the German language and culture. At the acceptance speech, a few tears of joy filled the Mariam. She was very grateful and did not do it for a price.
